I’m teaching the saxophone and clarinet since 2008, to students of all levels. Currently I’m working in The American school of the Hague and in Dordtse music school and privately in my studio or even through skype. Besides that, I often travel giving workshops and teaching jazz ensembles in Greece, Spain, France and of course Holland.
My focus in the lessons is to go to the direction of the student’s interest, so I don’t use a certain method, but I do different things with everyone. From classical to jazz and from rock and pop to latin. I think that musicians are always selftaught. The only thing a teacher can do is infect you with the love for music, inspire you and show you how to teach yourself.
I give a lot of importance in rhythm, because that’s the element that transforms sound into music and when you learn to use rhythm, everything sounds musical and is more fun to do. Even scales.
I also like to teach young kids, from the age of 5, to give them an introduction to music, in a playful way. I use the blokfluit for that, which is an excellent instrument to start into music.
Feel free to contact me if you’ re interested in some lessons.
